ONE ISLAND, SIX COASTLINES
Lombok's beaches
were never just
one coastline
Senggigi's calm sunset bays. Dark volcanic sand up north. The turquoise Gili Islands. Pepper sand beaches and world class surf in the south. One island. Six distinct coastlines. Explore more than 60 beaches with honest local guides that help you find the one that's yours.
WHY LOMBOK'S COASTLINE IS DIFFERENT

Tanjung Aan's sand is genuinely different to touch, coarse, almost gritty, with dark flecks running through it. It's not a marketing description. It's a different mineral.
One island.
Six entirely
different coastlines.
Senggigi was Lombok's original beach destination, the calm, sunset-facing bay that put the island on the map in the 1990s. Then the Gilis took over the postcard, and the south coast's pepper sand bays and surf got discovered in the 2010s. Meanwhile the dark volcanic sand up north and the still-quiet east coast carried on largely unnoticed. None of these stories replaced the others. They're all still happening at once.
Most guides treat Lombok as one beach with a few add-ons. LombokBeaches.com documents all six coastlines, including which beaches get crowded, which are quietly returning to relevance, and which still require a 4WD and a sense of humour to reach.

THE LOMBOKBEACHES MISSION
"An island doesn't need to be Bali's quieter cousin. Lombok's coastline deserves to be documented as its own subject."
LombokBeaches.com documents the island's coastline without filter, honest about which beaches are genuinely undeveloped and which are being marketed that way.
Six coastlines, one island. Senggigi's calm sunset bays sit on the west, dark volcanic sand runs along the north, the Gilis hold turquoise flats offshore, the south coast carries pepper sand bays and serious surf, a quiet reef lined coast waits to the east, and a wild southwest peninsula breaks at Desert Point. Each coastline gets its own story here, never flattened into one generic Lombok beach pitch.

SIX COASTLINES ARE WAITING
One island.
Which coast is yours?
Senggigi's calm sunset bay on the west coast, dark volcanic sand up north, three different "Main" Gilis, a south coast of pepper sand bays and world class surf, a quiet east coast most visitors skip entirely, and a wild southwest peninsula with some of Indonesia's best barrels. Lombok rewards the ones who explore beyond the obvious.
