The smallest of the Secret Gilis
Gili Kedis is genuinely tiny, a scattering of trees and a swing on a bright white sandbar you can circle on foot in about five minutes, sometimes compared to the Maldives for how vivid the sand and water look against each other. Locals call it "honeymoon island," partly in jest, a nod to how quiet and undeveloped it stays compared to its neighbors.
It's usually the last or first stop on a tour combining it with Gili Nanggu and Gili Sudak nearby, all three close enough together that boats hop between them in minutes rather than requiring separate trips.

Conditions on the ground
Crystal-clear, calm water surrounds the island, good for a quick swim, though there isn't much room on land to spend a long stretch of time, most visitors are here for 15 to 30 minutes rather than a full day. Some operators run overnight camping trips here specifically, with a BBQ dinner and stargazing under genuinely dark skies.

No lifeguard on duty. Bring your own water and shade, the island offers next to none of either. Confirm return timing with your boat operator before setting out.

Reached by boat from Tawun Harbour, roughly 1 hour 20 minutes from Senggigi by car. Gili Kedis is almost always visited as part of a combined tour with Gili Nanggu and Gili Sudak, the three sit close enough together that hopping between them takes just a couple of minutes by boat.

Facilities
Nothing beyond the trees and a swing, this is genuinely undeveloped. Bring your own water and anything else you need, food and proper facilities are back at Tawun Harbour or on the slightly larger neighboring islands.

WHY CHOOSE THIS ONE
Gili Nanggu is the better choice for a proper snorkel with good coral and fish close to shore. Kedis is purely about the sandbar itself, photos, a brief swim, and the novelty of an island small enough to circle on foot in about five minutes, best treated as a quick stop rather than the main event.
