A cove framed by sandstone cliffs
Tanjung Bloam is a small, secluded beach in the Jerowaru area of southeast Lombok, tucked beside distinctive orange hued sandstone cliffs that frame the cove on both sides. It sits in the same remote cluster as Tanjung Ringgit and Kaliantan, close enough to combine into one trip, but Bloam is the one to visit for the actual beach experience rather than a lookout or a wind sport.
The stretch of coast here is also a sea turtle nesting habitat, part of what's kept the area relatively undeveloped and worth treating with care if you visit during nesting season.

Conditions on the ground
Soft white sand and clear, calm turquoise water, sheltered enough by the surrounding cliffs to make swimming and a bit of snorkeling comfortable. It's a small beach rather than a long stretch, so it fills its cove rather than sprawling.
GETTING THERE
Access & parking
Roughly 1 hour 30 minutes from Kuta Lombok, following the road east toward Tanjung Ringgit and turning off onto a small dirt track before you reach it, about 500 meters past the turn to a small pendopo marking the entrance to the Bloam area. The road is unpaved for the final stretch, dusty in the dry season and can get muddy after rain.
Worth knowing before you go: the beach itself is public, but the main access road runs through land controlled by the Jeeva Beloam Beach Camp resort, which charges an entrance fee to use it, an arrangement some visitors have found contentious given the beach's public status. An alternative route exists by scrambling over rocks from the resort's own beach, avoiding the fee but requiring a bit more effort.

Facilities
Minimal beyond the resort itself. A few small local eateries operate nearby serving fresh seafood, but this is still very much an undeveloped stretch of coast. Bring water and anything else you'll need for the day.

GOOD TO KNOW
Access road is controlled by a private resort, which charges an entrance fee even though the beach is public, worth budgeting for or asking locally about the alternate rock scramble route. No lifeguard on duty.
Dry season makes the unpaved access road far easier to manage. Early morning or late afternoon light is best for photographing the cliffs, and also tends to mean fewer people around if you're visiting during a period when the beach sees more traffic.
