Where the coast turns calm again
Sire sits past Bangsal Harbour, at the point where the busier west coast corridor gives way to Lombok's quieter far north. Unlike the working fishing beaches further south along this same road, Sire has quietly built up around a small cluster of resorts, calm enough water that families come specifically to swim here, rather than just passing through on the way to a boat.
Mount Rinjani is visible behind the bay on clear days, giving Sire one of the more striking backdrops on this whole stretch of coast without needing to compete with Senggigi's crowds.

The water here stays consistently flat and shallow close to shore, genuinely swimmable year round rather than only during a specific season, which is unusual for this coastline and part of why families in particular favor it. A reef sits a bit further out, worth a snorkel if you're happy to swim out a little from the main beach.
GETTING THERE
Access & parking
A paved road runs the whole way, past Bangsal Harbour and through Pemenang and Tanjung. Figure on roughly an hour or so from Senggigi given the distance, longer than the drive to Nipah or Klui further south on the same corridor.
WHAT'S THERE
Resort & facilities
A handful of resorts line the beach, giving Sire more built up infrastructure than the working beaches further south, loungers, shade, and food on site, without anything close to Senggigi's density. It's a good option if you want real facilities without a busy beach scene.

When to visit
Because the water stays calm year round, Sire doesn't have the same tight seasonal window as the surf beaches further south. Clear mornings tend to give the best chance of seeing Rinjani in the background.

No lifeguard on duty. Water is calm and shallow close to shore, but conditions can change further out near the reef, take care if snorkeling beyond the main swimming area.
