A quiet stretch on the road to Bangsal
Klui sits right on the main Senggigi to Bangsal road, about 20 minutes from Senggigi and 15 minutes from Bangsal Harbour, making it an easy, natural stop for anyone driving that route rather than a destination requiring a special trip. The sand here runs a soft grey-brown rather than the classic white or gold found elsewhere on the island, and a few resorts and villas have set up along this stretch, so it's a little more developed than Nipah further north.
What it's best known for is the view, Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno, and Gili Air are all visible from the beach, and on clear days Bali's Mount Agung is visible on the horizon too, making it a genuinely strong photography and sunset spot along this coast.

Conditions on the ground
Swimming is fine when the sea is calm, worth checking conditions first since this stretch can pick up more swell during certain months. At the right spots, snorkeling is possible too, though this isn't the coast's premier snorkeling beach, better reef is a short drive north at Nipah.

Klui sits directly on the main Senggigi-Bangsal road, easy to reach by car, taxi, or scooter on a well-paved route, no special access required. Its roadside position makes it a convenient stop if you're already heading to or from the Gili boat harbour.

Facilities
A handful of resorts and villas sit along this stretch, along with gazebos and local warungs for food. It's more developed than Nipah, but still nowhere near Senggigi's scale, a comfortable middle ground between the two.

When to visit
Late afternoon into sunset is when Klui earns its reputation, the combination of the Gilis, Mount Agung, and the setting sun makes for one of the better photo opportunities on this coast. Clear days give the best visibility for both the islands and the volcano across the strait.

No lifeguard on duty. Check conditions before swimming, especially outside the calmer dry season months, as swell can pick up on this stretch.

Nipah has better snorkeling and a more local, working-beach character. Klui trades that for a more developed setting with resorts and villas, plus a genuinely stronger sunset and viewpoint experience thanks to its uninterrupted line of sight to the Gilis and Bali. Worth stopping at either as part of the same drive along this coast.
