Pantai Semangkok is a small, secluded cove tucked beside Pink Beach (Pantai Tangsi) in Lombok's southeast Sekaroh cluster, shaped like a bowl and ringed by cliffs on almost every side. It's genuinely hard to reach, most visitors arrive by boat as part of a wider Pink Beach or island-hopping trip, since the alternative is a steep, overgrown cliff trail that local fishermen use but isn't recommended without experience.
What makes the trip worth it is what's underwater. The reef here is healthy enough that a local dive operator has placed permanent moorings specifically to stop boats anchoring on the coral, a sign of how seriously the snorkeling and diving community takes this particular stretch of coast.

Soft sand with a subtle pink tinge depending on the light and tide, and calm, clear water that's comfortable for both swimming and snorkeling. Worth knowing honestly: because the cove is so remote and rarely cleaned, some washed-up plastic is common on the shoreline, a trade-off of how untouched the spot otherwise is.

Boat only for most visitors, typically as a stop on a Pink Beach or southeast circuit boat trip departing from Tanjung Luar or Pantai Tangsi itself. A cliff trail does connect from the neighboring beach, but it's steep, overgrown, and genuinely rough going, better suited to an adventurous local guide than a casual visit.

Nothing at all. Semangkok is completely undeveloped, no toilets, no shade beyond the surrounding cliffs, and no food or drink available. Bring everything you'll need for the visit.
TIMING
When to visit
Morning through to around 3pm gives the calmest water and the best light for the cove and the reef below it. Dry season makes for a smoother boat ride out, since the crossing can get uncomfortable in rougher conditions.

No facilities and no lifeguard. Watch for monkeys around the cliffs, and be mindful of the reef moorings placed to protect the coral, avoid anchoring or standing on the coral itself.
