A beach that changes with the day
Kecinan sits about 15 minutes from Bangsal Harbor, a curved bay lined with coconut trees and views out to Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno and Gili Air, plus Mount Agung across the strait on clear days. The eastern end is fronted by The Kayana Beach Lombok resort, while the western stretch stays local and low key. The beach looks noticeably different depending on recent weather and swell. Sand tone can shift from a lighter tan to something darker, and water clarity varies more than at some of the calmer, more sheltered beaches nearby.
Small local boats are usually anchored along the western end, where a working fishing community lives alongside a few small operators running speedboats and day trips out to the Gilis. Most arrangements are informal, so agree on the price and the plan before you set off

Conditions here are genuinely weather dependent in a way that's worth being upfront about. On calmer days the water is clear enough for a relaxed swim or some casual snorkeling, but swell and recent weather can noticeably change both the water clarity and the sand's appearance from one visit to the next. It's worth checking conditions on arrival rather than assuming a fixed experience.

About 15 minutes from Bangsal Harbour and around 20 to 25 minutes from Senggigi, on a well paved road along the Senggigi-Bangsal route. Easy to reach by car, taxi, or scooter, no special access needed.

Facilities
A local warung sits in the shade of the trees at the back of the beach, serving simple food and drinks with plastic tables and chairs under the canopy. This end of the bay is a working beach with local boats rather than a tourist stop, so there’s no beach club or rental gear. The Kayana Beach Lombok resort fronts the eastern end, but its facilities are for guests.
